Meet the Staff
Kate Holz, Director of Admissions and Financial Aid, has a B. A. in Psychology from Penn State and a M.B.A. from Harvard University School of Business. She came to Westtown with a background in social work and business. Her most recent work experience was at the Friends Council on Education as the Associate Director. Kate lives on campus with her husband, Don. Kate’s son Nick graduated from Westtown in 2007. Kate enjoys running, reading, traveling, and gardening.

Ronnie Montgomery, Associate Admissions Director for Lower and Middle School, has a B.S.W. in Social Work from Valparaiso University. She began her career with a variety of social work experiences including foster care, adoption, school and hospital administration. She came to Westtown in 1994 after assisting her husband at Robert Montgomery Landscape Nursery as the buyer for the gift, Christmas, and patio shops. Her son and daughter were “lifers” at Westtown beginning in PreK and graduating in 1996 and 2004. Ronnie enjoys reading and traveling and will be headed to as many Brown University women's lacrosse games that she can fit into her schedule.

Mark Stucker, Associate Director of Admissions, has a B.A in Psychology from Michigan State and a Masters degree in theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Mark was in Christian ministry for several years, and also was an outside business to business sales exec for six years. He began as an active parent volunteer for two years in Admissions at Westtown, and found he just loved it. Mark has also served as Westtown's Director of Annual Giving. Mark is married and has two daughters who both attend Westtown School. Mark enjoys travelling, reading, golfing, and watching Michigan State play basketball.

Heather Lake, Associate Director of Admission, has a B.A. from Middlebury College. Before coming to Westtown, Heather worked at Millbrook School, St. Paul's School in New Hampshire, Middlesex School, Miss Hall's School, and Wilmington Friends School. She has served in a variety of capacities including Dean of Academics, teacher of French and Art History, Admissions Associate, field hockey and lacrosse coach, and dorm parent. Heather and her husband, Rob, live in Avondale, PA with their two sons.

Michele Bedesem Linder, Assistant Director of Admissions, has a B.A. in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania. She first came to Westtown in 1998 as a Middle School science teacher, coach and dorm parent. After a brief hiatus in which she worked at Arcadia University as their Head Field Hockey Coach, Michele rejoined the Westtown School community in 2006. In addition to her work in Admissions, Michele coaches field hockey and track. Michele lives in Balderston House with her husband and two daughters, where she serves as dorm parent.

Michael Telis, Assistant Director of Admissions, has a B.A. in American Studies and Literature from Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Michael began his work in admissions at Colby College and continued to pursue his interest in admissions at Sarah Lawrence, where he served as a Senate Representative on the school’s Admissions Committee. Michael lives on Boy’s 3rd and coaches girl’s JV tennis in the Fall and boy’s varsity lacrosse in the Spring. His interests include reading, writing, music, the Washington Wizards, Tiger Woods, and Seinfeld.

Sandy Gross, Administrative Assistant, lives near Westtown School with her husband and son. She enjoys working in the Admissions reception area where she provides support to students, staff, faculty, and families. Her interests include needlework, travel, landscaping, and spending time with her family and friends.

Bridget Visk, Administrative Assistant holds a BA in History from Loyola University of Chicago. She spent numerous years working in the corporate world prior to becoming a stay at home mom. Before coming to Westtown, she worked as a substitute teacher. She currently resides in Kennett Square with her husband and three children. Bridget enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and knitting.

Lynette Assarsson, Admissions Event and Communications Coordinator, has a BA in Human Development and Social Relations from Earlham College as well as Certificate Diplomas from Foreign Study Programs in Segovia and Madrid, Spain. She spent many years as a coordinator of a hospital-based cancer care center before she took time off to be home with her children, both of whom are students in the Lower School . She was a parent and volunteer at Westtown School before coming to work in the Admissions Office. Lynette loves to travel, enjoys reading and handcrafting jewelry.
