Lower School Principal
Westtown School, a Quaker college preparatory day and boarding school located on 628 acres in beautiful Chester County, is seeking a new Lower School Principal to begin employment on or about July 1, 2009. This 12-month administrative position reports directly to the Head of School. The Lower School Principal supervises, evaluates, and encourages professional development of full and part-time faculty, supports the Quaker mission of the school and has oversight of the developmental needs of the elementary aged child. She/he has strong interpersonal skills, communicates effectively and works cooperatively with all members of the school community. The Lower School Principal is active in the Lower School admissions process and is a member of the school's senior administrative team and the Principals' Group.
The Lower School, expanded and renovated during the summer of 1998, has approximately 223 students in grades PK-5, and has a before and after school care program. The School offers a competitive salary and benefits package. Lower school teaching or administrative experience preferred.
Director of Admissions
Westtown School – a Quaker, college preparatory day and boarding school founded in 1799, of 800 students for grades PK-12, located on 628 acres in beautiful Chester County – is seeking a Director of Admissions, to begin employment on July 1, 2009. This 12-month position reports directly to the Associate Head of School.
The Director manages all aspects of the Admissions Office and supervises a staff of 8. The successful Director will have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communications skills, as well as a desire to work cooperatively with all members of the school community. This individual will be eager to articulate the philosophy and goals of the school to community members and prospective families. Previous admissions experience is required. The Director will be responsible for guiding the school’s efforts in student recruitment, enrollment and retention. The Director is a member of the school’s senior administration team.

Substitute Positions
The Westtown Upper School is in need of Substitute Teachers in all subject areas for short term absences throughout the 2008-9 school year.
Coaching Positions
Upper School: Swimming Assistants, Boys' JV Lacrosse, Girls' Lacrosse, Track & Field Assistants, Softball.
Middle School: Baseball Assistant, Track and Field Assistant, and Girls' Lacrosse Assistant.
School Nurse
Westtown School seeks a registered part-time nurse. Rotation of night on-call and weekend hours included.
