Nourishing Community: Transforming the Westtown Dining Experience

Dining at Westtown goes beyond nourishment—it is about fostering community, connection, and sustainability. Our Dining Services team delivers nutritious, locally sourced meals, aligned with Quaker values of simplicity and service. The reimagined dining building will be a welcoming space that supports our growing community, helps us maximize and expand our sustainability practices, encourages reflection, and promotes meaningful connections over shared meals.

Meals at Westtown have always been about much more than sustenance—they’ve also been about building community, sharing experience, and growing connection. The new building will center connection, reflection, warmth, and simplicity. The dining room will feel unpretentious, welcoming, and lived in by all members of our community.

Purposely positioned to look upon the North Woods, the dining room will nurture a sense of calm, reflection, and connection with nature. Additionally, the location of the new dining building will provide much-needed and accessible space for gatherings, celebrations, and meetings all year round.

This free-standing space, situated just across the Central circle, will enable the entire Upper School (students and adults) to enjoy meals at the same time, building community and removing constraints from the daily schedule. A dedicated space for Work Program will engage our students fully in this unique educational opportunity.
