Stock Transfer

Below are instructions on how to transfer a gift of stock/securities to Westtown School.

At least 24 hours before you expect the transfer to occur, please have your broker contact Sarah Duda at sarah.duda@westtown.edu or at 610-399-7839 to advise her that you are making a gift of stock/securities.  Please have them share the following details:

  • donor name
  • purpose of the gift (the Fund you are directing the gift to)
  • number of shares
  • company name
  • stock symbol
  • brokerage institution that is sending it

Have your broker transfer the gift to:
First Clearing, LLC
DTC # 0141
FBO (for the benefit of) Westtown School 
Account # 6849-4414

It is important that you or your broker contact Westtown as you are transferring your gift of stock because identifying donor information is not listed in our account when the stock is received.  Knowing you are the donor ahead of time allows us to quickly process your gift, send you your tax receipt, or contact you if we have any questions about your gift.
